Artist Retreat Program
The Amici Americani Art Retreat Program offers artists the opportunity to:
- Reside as an artist-in-residence for two weeks in a mountain village in Abruzzo, the greenest region in Italy—and all of Europe.
- Create new art while immersing yourself in the local culture.
- Host an exhibition at the end of the two weeks, giving the community the chance to experience your work.

Anthony Bologna

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to parents from Sicily, Italy. I spent 21 years working with the U.S. Postal Service as an Operations Manager. There, I enjoyed leading, training, coaching and developing my team. Having been deeply committed to my career, I began my global travels later in life and soon wished I had started much earlier. Now, I spend much of my time developing and remodeling properties in CT and NY.
In Italy, I work directly with Petulia to curate artworks, and manage the maintenance of the property. With a passion for my ancestral homeland—and as a lover of coffee, wine, olives, and the rich history of this ancient land and culture—I chose to fully immerse myself in the region, with the intention of creating meaningful and memorable experiences for others.
